13 Nov 2011 Royal Naval Reserve Service of Remembrance – All Are Welcome (no booking required)
The annual Royal Naval Reserve Service of Remembrance will take place onboard Unicorn on Sunday 13th November at 1500 (3.00pm).
Guest Preacher: His Eminence Keith Patrick Cardinal O’Brien
All are extremely welcome, whether they be serving personnel, service veterans or members of the public who wish to attend this moving and uplifting event.
You certainly don’t need to have a naval connection, but it is very appropriate this year that the Cardinal’s father served with distinction in the Arctic Convoys, and it is intended to lay a wreath to the Arctic Convoy veterans.
The Service of Remembrance has been held regularly since just after the First World War, and has had a growing attendance in recent years. The rousing hymns will be accompanied by the Dundee Instrumental Band and light refreshments will be served after the Service.
