Current Exhibition: The Arctic Convoys of WWII

Our new exhibition explores the life and history of the Russian Arctic Convoy Club and tells the story of their vital contribution during World War 2. Gain an insight of life on board these vessels and the dangerous conditions faced on the convoy’s astounding journeys.

The Artic Convoys exhibition will run from February until the end of May 2020.

Current Exhibition: Sons of Mars

Our current exhibition “The Sons of The Mars ” explores the lives of the boys and men on board the Training Ship Mars during its time moored in the River Tay.

With the help of St Andrews University MLitt Students, and local historian and musician Gordon Douglas, the story of the Mars is really brought to life in our on board exhibition. From discipline, daily routines, and education to leisure come and explore what life was like on TS Mars between 1869 and 1929 and let us know of any links your family has to the training ship!

We also have a limited number of signed copies of Gordon Douglas’ books “We’ll Send Ye Tae the Mars” and “Sons of the Mars” plus a CD of “Songs From The Mars” for sale throughout the duration of the Sons of Mars exhibition.

Due to popularity Sons of Mars will now run until summer 2020!
